On Scaling React Applications

Immutable data structures, React, and FP have transformed the way we code frontend applications today. However, there have been few case studies on how these technologies scale as an application grows into a large production app. This talk will dissect the growth of a large React application, from the initial technical mistakes that can be made, to overcoming performance hurdles, and introducing necessary technology to keep development productive.

Stepan Parunashvili is a Software Engineer on the Wit.ai team at Facebook. He works on M, the personal assistant for Messenger. Stepan previously transitioned the Wit.ai architecture into React, and grew a new app into production at Facebook after that.
